What Is Gateway 2?

BSR approval before a single brick can be laid

Gateway 2 is the second checkpoint under the Building Safety Act 2022. Construction on a new higher-risk building cannot begin until the BSR has reviewed and approved the building regulations application.

The Gateway 2 submission includes a full technical fire strategy, detailed drawings showing all fire safety provisions, structural fire protection specifications, and evidence of compliance with Approved Document B or the relevant British Standards.
