How we work in the high-rise buildings sector

High-rise buildings above 18 metres or seven storeys with two or more residential dwellings are defined as higher-risk buildings under the Building Safety Act 2022 and are subject to a distinct and more demanding regulatory framework. The Building Safety Regulator (BSR) oversees these buildings through the three-gateway process for new buildings and requires registration and safety cases for existing ones.
